Mae Arthur Rescue Center (The Beginning)

 Mae Arthur affectionately called 'HEAD' by her dad was born to the union of George Linsey and Nellie Bigger-HilLin Shorter, Alabama. She met Lonnie Lee Harris at the age of 9 in school and they became friends. Eight years later merried Saturday. February 17, 1940 and two years later moved to Detroit, Michigan. She was a Licensed Cosmetologist, worked in the medical field over 30 years at Harper Hospital and owned three businesses and properties in Detroit.

3. - Rescue Home in multiple residents 4230 Orleans - 1432 LeMay -19600 Yacama 17534 & 17540 Jos Campau In these multiple locations...

 Housed young women with/without children (Barbara, Jeanette, Macey with child-Sheneva who she raised as her own. A young couple (cousin) just married had nowhere to stay (Junior and Mary Ann). A young man with mental issues (Harry) stayed until his death. Sisters (Doris w/son and Dorothy).
